Layton employees join together to serve their communities, recreate, mentor  others and receive training.

Layton-sponsored teams across the country compete in many sports, including running, cycling, softball, soccer and golf and less formal recreation such as company hikes. Employees enjoy company parties each summer and during holidays, and regional offices often host luncheons, dinners, golf tournaments and other events to give employees and their families a chance to mingle and have fun together.

Layton regional offices regularly participate in food and clothing drives, Habitat for Humanity or other types of donated construction labor, and numerous charity events. Whether company-sponsored events or personal initiatives, employee are encouraged to give back to their communities.

Layton employees are involved in mentoring tomorrow’s construction leaders through programs like ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor Program, Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) Student Competition, Young Entrepreneurs and others.

Like any other industry, construction is constantly changing. Layton strives to keep ahead of the curve by devoting substantial time and resources to employee training as technology improves, processes become more refined and building standards change. Through certifications in programs like OSHA, LEED? and Rescue CPR, or training in crane-rigging, Building Information Modeling (BIM) or various other areas, there are plenty of opportunity for employees to grow and advance within Layton.
